About this Course
The course aims at building the preschool leaders competency in guiding his/her staff performance towards successful achievement of results in providing quality care and education for young children. The focus here is to look at how a team leader could assist the team members in understanding and implementing the teams plans. The course will bring the learners through how to work with team members, allocate the necessary resources for them to work effectively as well as on how to negotiate deliverables. However, it is not sufficient to know how to interpret and implement plans and work amicably without any conflict, team members need to be motivated, either intrinsically or extrinsically. Hence, knowing how to respond to both positive as well as negative performance of team members and monitoring whether they are able to achieve the set targets, is important. For that, a team leader will learn the skills and techniques of managing performance by evaluating outcomes and reviewing them against the initial targets set. Evaluating any possible risks that the team members may encounter and working out plans to manage these risks, will also be addressed.
