About this Course

Principles and Practice of Oncology Nursing (75 hrs) This module covers the clinical aspects of cancer diagnosis, principles of various treatment modalities and palliative care. It provides the learners with an overview of the philosophy of care, current trends and issues in cancer care, the delivery system of care and their impact on patients quality of life. Learners will also apply the process of advance care planning and care transition in oncology nursing. Advanced Oncology Nursing (90 hrs) This module provides an in-depth study of the management of site-specific, haematopoietic malignancies in adults and children. It includes emphasis on the management of cancer patients with problems of altered body image, common oncologic emergencies and haematopoietic stem cells transplantation.
