About this Course

It is surprisingly easy to build fun and useful apps that you can run on your iPhone and iPad. This short course will give participants an overview of Apple’s development kit for the iPhone by building and modifying sample apps. This approach revises the basics of programming an object-oriented style using Objective-C, and provides practical recipes for finding and developing personalised solutions. This workshop will benefit participants who want a hands-on overview in as short a time as possible. At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to achieve the following: ? Understand the major components and use of the iOS 7 Software Developer’s Kit (SDK) from Apple ? Understand the basic structure and elements of iPhone apps that can be used as building blocks ? Learn 4-5 simple examples of iPhone apps that can be modified and customized. ? Gain assistance with developing a personal iPhone app as a course project
