About this Course

This module enables candidates tounderstand the concept of Outlook 2010/2013 and Web Browsing. Candidates will be able to work with messages, contacts, tasks, calenders as well as managing accounts and the inbox. Candidates will also be able to understand what internet is about and the functions of Internet Explorer 9/10browser.

Understand how to use e-mail, know how to handle file attachment, be aware of network etiquette, security considerations, manage personal contact groups and message folders.

Understand what internet is about, changing browser settings, some security considerations, submit web-based forms and search for information, save web pages and download files from the web and copy web content into a document.

On completion of this module each candidate will be able to:

1. Understand what the internet is and common terms associated with it. Be aware of some security considerations when using the internet
2. Accomplish everyday web browsing tasks including changing browser setting
3. Search for information and complete and submit web-based forms
4. Save web pages and download files from the web. Copy web content into a document
5. Understand what email is and know some advantages and disadvantages of its use. Be aware of other communication options
6. Be aware of network etiquette and security considerations when using email
7. Create, spell check and send email. Reply to and forward email, handle file attachments and print an email
8. Be aware of ways to enhance productivity when working with email software. Organise and manage email

Target Audience

This course for people new email & also for people who want a tool to help organize their business day. It is a pre-requisite for the Advanced course.

Pre-requisites

Need to possess the knowledge of Basic PC

Certification

Successful trainees will receive the internationally recognized ICDL Certificate upon completion of the course. This certificate is administered by ICDL Singapore. This is a joint certification between WDA and ICDL Singapore. Student must take a 45 min online assessment at the end of the course.
