About this Course

This Course give a detailed knowledge in computer fundamentals and information technology to the students.

The Syllabus covers introduction to Information technology, Computer fundamentals, Numbering system and Programming logics and practices (algorithms and flowcharts), Programming in C, C programming Lab, Data structures and Algorithms, Database, Object oriented Programming Using Java, Java Lab, Web designing Concepts. At the end of the course students have to make a web based project .

Introduction to Information Technology

What is Information Technology (IT), Different names of IT, Branches of information Technology, History of information technology, Leaders in information technology, Certification in information technology, Information systems security.

Computer Fundamentals

Computer basics – Introduction to Computer, Classification of Computers, Basics Computer organizations, Memory unit, CPU, input/output units, Number System, Software, Hardware, Types of Computer, MS Paint, Files and Folders, My Computer, Introduction to Windows, Add/Remove programs, Notepad MS Office(Word, Excel, Power point & Internet Email)

Digital Logics & Number Systems

Binary Number System, Conversion to binary to decimal, Decimal Number System, Hexa decimal octal, Binary addition and Subtraction etc

Programming logics and Practice

Introduction to Programming logic, Flowchart symbols and flowchart, Pseudo code, Coding, Compiling, Documentation and Maintenance.

Programming in C

Introduction to C Programming, Basic Data Types and Operators, Statements and Control Flow, Arrays, Functions and Program Structure, Strings, Structures, Pointers, FILES- Input and Ouput

Java Lab

Web Designing

A project work gives students more foundation in programming.
