Business and Finance - EFFECTIVE PROCUREMENT

About this Course

OVERVIEW:

This introductory level workshop provides a solid grounding in the tools and techniques which form the basis of best practice procurement and supply. It is interactive and so delegates should expect to participate fully in order to gain maximum value from attending.

The workshop covers the most commonly used theoretical concepts, although its focus is more on the practical application of these concepts for the benefit of the procurement organisation.

INTRODUCTION:

For many organisations, effective procurement can add significant value in terms of reducing expenditure, delivering enhanced customer value and reducing risk. Through use of best practice principles staff in procurement and supply related roles across the organisation can manage the procurement process more effectively and ensure that the best suppliers are identified, selected and managed. Ineffective procurement and supply will lead to considerable wastage, inefficient processes and difficulties in dealing with key stakeholders

AUDIENCE:

This workshop is suitable for staff working in procurement and supply related roles. It is most suitable for staff at non-managerial level or managers who are relatively new to the function.
