About this Course

This 2-day module takes you through the systematic process of preparing and scheduling a performance appraisal interview. It provides you with the steps required to conduct an effective performance appraisal interview, guides you through the various methods to encourage staff development, and finally explores the types of reward or recognition you can use to increase staff motivation and satisfaction.

Once you have mastered the steps in each section, you will be condent in developing and executing an effective performance appraisal system that will help your staff or colleagues grow together with your company.

This course will benefit F&B managerial personnel involved in sales and marketing and for those who are interested in enhancing their companies’ sales performance strategies, such as

Course Objectives

Through our experiential classroom training, learners will learn how to:

  • Plan / schedule performance appraisals
  • Conduct performance appraisal interviews
  • Encourage staff development
  • Use reward and recognition systems

Assessment

At the end of the module, learners are required to complete a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes of summative assessment, comprising a written assessment, role plays and oral questioning. Upon successful completion of assessment, they will be awarded a Statement of Attainment (SOA).

Upon successful completion of assessment for the rest of modules under the WSQ Diploma in Food & Beverage Management, they will be awarded a WSQ Diploma in Food & Beverage Management.

Entry Requirement

Learners must have a minimum pass in English (C6) for GCE ‘O’ Level Certificate and above or its equivalent (i.e. WSQ Work Place Literacy and Numeracy Skills Level 5).

*For learners who do not meet the minimum requirements, an oral interview would be conducted to determine suitability for the course.
