About this Course
Introduction
The WSQ Aerospace: Basic Aviation Skills (Gas Turbine) (AR-ERO-201G-1 – Perform General Engine Workshop Practices) course is intended to enhance the work attitudes and aviation skills of newly recruited personnel.
WSQ
ATTC is an approved training organisation by WDA for WSQ courses. It is also a training centre approved by CAAS to conduct engineering courses for aircraft maintenance personnel in accordance with Certificate of Approval Number MTO/002.
Industry Need
Those who want a career switch to the aviation industry and newly recruited personnel, who wish to seek recognition as trained Technicians in the Aviation industry.
Course Objectives
This course is designed to train participants in three aspects: the ability to comply with technical manual; use and operate workshop tools and equipment; and identify and use appropriate engine standards and materials.
Course Structure
The course consists of about 40hours of training including assessment.
Student – Lecturer Ratio
Theory:
The ratio of Lecturer to Students is 1:32 for theory classes
Practical:
The ratio of Lecturer to Students is 1:16 for practical training
Learning And Teaching Methods
All classes will be a mix of lectures and practical skills training
Student Assessment
WSQ courses are assessed by practical assessments
Minimum Entry Requirements
WSQ Employability Skills WPLN Proficiency Level 4 equivalent to Lower Secondary
Graduation Requirements
Upon successful completion of courses. Participants will be awarded the ‘Statement of Attainment for WSQ Aerospace: Basic Aviation Skills (Gas Turbine)’ by Singapore Workforce Development Agency
Course Duration
The duration of the course is spread over 5 days, from 0830 to 1730 hours each day.
Attendance Requirements
Students must achieve a minimum of 75% for all individual modules
